What type of baton did Karajan have? How long was it? Where did he get? What maker was it?

Hello Beethoven2! As you know, the Orchestra's conductors have several batons, often after a performance give it to someone. The batons may be of different length. Karajan belongs to that group of Orchestra conductors which used batons manufactured specially for him. I might to be able to describe one of many used by the M° Karajan when he worked in Milano, I just go to the exhibitin dedicated to him. ******************************** Thare's a photo that depicts Karajan while choosing a baton, before conducting. Hi Beethoven2! Yes, I also have noticed this. I hope to give you detailed information on my return from Milano. Unfortunately I will have to wait because of dangerous weather conditions. ******************************** Rosy
