So the DG Karajan 2008 microsite is a bit disappointing compared to EMI's impressive 100th Anniversary microsite. No audio interview, no essay (like the interesting Richard Osborne piece at the EMI page), and even the covers of the DVD releases aren't posted yet, although they are shown on the main DG site: www2.deutschegrammophon.com/webseries/?ID=karajan2008However, in case anyone hasn't seen it yet, here's a page that purportedly lists the contents of DG's Complete Karajan Recordings boxed set: - Click here for linkIt's in Japanese, but if you run it through a Web translator, you should be able to get the gist of it. I'm curious as to how complete this actually might be. Presumably, it has "everything" (apart from the live recordings, like the Festspiel Dokumente).

yes, Darkehmen, the EMI did honor to the Maestro.
( The Symphonie Fantastique of June 25,1970,does not an exellent sound, but it is worth listen!)
"The man the Legend ", DG,is useful for those who want to get closer to Maestro.
Goodnight

I know something of "DG's complete works boxed set". It will be available on Apr.5,2008. Namely, it is Karajan's 100th birthday! The price is 300 thousand yen which is slightly less than 3 thousand dollars. Compared to the complete EMI box sets, it is very expensive. Although it is written in Japanese too, I will attache the images from its pamphlet issued by Universal Japan.

The track listing in English is available on hmv.co.jp -- helpful even if the composers' names are missing (but the opuses numbers are there) and if the poor individual in charge of copying this somewhat cracks by CD 100/120. Useful guide nonetheless...
