Allow me to be fare with HvK after my history of the OFB mistake.
I think that one of the greatests achievements from Karajan is the Easter Festival. I attended the 1975,76,80, 88,89 and my memories are really great. In 75, we had the Beethoven's' Missa Solemnis, with Janowitz, Ludwig and the Singverein, plus La Boheme with Freni and Pavarotti in Zefirelli's production, and an
outstanding Meistersinger. Those who have been able to be in
the Grosses Festpielhauss in Salzburg will understand my feelings
when in Meistersingers final, also the sides from the stage were open to take the two choirs singing. I felt very small. Although the
ORF broadcasted the performance, not relissed at the present time, there are not filmed images from this performance. ¡¡unlikely!!.
In the coming days I'll coment to you my feelings and experiences from other Karajan concerts.
