since I just came back from Vienna (attending the Ball der Wiener Philarmoniker ), I can mention that we got as a present, a book on HVK by Erich LESSING (many interesting "private" photos) published for the Ball.

This is very interesting as I wondered if it is the same book as the following title which I have listed on the Centenary page of my site and is due for publication later in the year:

it's worthwhile to buy even if written in Arabic!!!!!!!!!!

However, it's the same book reported

I don't think the language matters in a photography book. In fact, I have just received a complimentary copy of the Pierre-Henri Verlhac book from the publisher and that is the French edition !

P.S. I read an article about Verlhac's book you mention...
Its very interesting, because is a book accessible to all!
It's right to express a little difficult concepts with simple language.
And It's also just tell things that my be of interest to a wide audience.
