recently, (March 2010) a new book released, titled Karajan alla Scala, published by Classica Italia. and written by Richard Osborne (!). It seems there is attached a DVD documentary. I have preordered this book, and when it will arrive- hope soon!- I'll updated you.

Hello!

the book + DVD mentioned in my post above has not yet arrived !!!
The Authors are Francesco Gala e Jacopo Ghilardotti, pg. 160 and the release date of this book is expected in December 2010, but I don't believe this, in fact in the catalog it says coming soon for 8 months !!!

So did that book ever turn up? There is no trace of it on amazon.co.uk, so I wonder if it ever came out.
