Recently I was browsing the Amazon site for Karajan books and came across Salzburger Festspiele 1960-1989 Die Ara Karajan Eine Chronik von Robert Kriech baumer.
I contacted my friend John Hunt to see if he had heard of this book, he had not but asked me to order it for him.
Unfortunately it is no good to me as it is in German, however it does have lots of photos of the Karajan Opera productions from 1960-1989 many of which I have never seen before.
I have included a selection here for the Forum members, the book is very high quality but unfortunately my digital camera copies are somewhat lower quality.

There are many photos from virtually every year from 1960 to 1989 of Karajan productions including Falstaff, Il Trovatore, Don Carlos, Boris Godunov, Don Giovanni and the 1985 Carmen, the book also outlines many of the other Opera and stage productions etc during those particular years not conducted by Karajan, I only wish it was in English.
