Hello, Testament announces a new unissued CD. However, it does not have any detail information when it was recorded. Is there anyone who knows it? www.testament.co.uk/default.aspx?PageID=74SBT 1474 Herbert von Karajan Mozart: Sinfonia Concertante, K.297b Lothar Koch – oboe · Karl Leister – clarinet · Gerd Seifert – horn · Günter Piesk – bassoon Strauss: Also sprach Zarathustra, Op.30 Berliner Philharmoniker (Michel Schwalbé – Concert-master) Previously unissued recording

Hello Mahalo
Thank you for posting details of this new release.
I assume that it is the radio broadcast of the following concert:
Salzburg 12th August 1970
Best wishes
Linda

Linda,
Thank you for your response. Where is your assumption coming from? Was there a broadcast of the pieces recently?] Or, did you receive the information from a CD shop?
Regards, Mahalo

Mahalo
The broadcast is listed in both John Hunt's Karajan Discography and his Concert Register.
The performance of "Also sprach Zarathustra" has been released before on Arkadia CD 587.
Best wishes
Linda

After about a year in the wings on the Testament site, it would appear that this issue (SBT1474) can now be ordered for delivery in a few weeks. An appropriately timed tribute to Michel Schwalbé. www.testament.co.uk/shop/product.aspx?id=609
