The search function on karajan.org ‘s database of recordings and concerts has stopped functioning.

Correct, but there is now the Karajan app for the iPad, where of course only the commercially available recordings with platforms such as Amazon are linked. The interested should buy, not read, at least not too much ... It was a carelessly maintained database, full of mistakes. When the institute was still called Karajan-Centrum and was located in Vienna, there was a precursor version of this database, which was maintained with more devotion by a woman named Ina Gayed.

Thanks for the reply. I had realized that there were accuracy problems with the frequent repertoire, but I was primarily interested in the rare works / musicians and thought that was reliable. The drop down list was helpful.

There is now a new Karajan database. It can be accessed through www.karajan.org or directly at www.discoverkarajan.com . It looks like it is still being updated. Some of the details changed while I was looking at it. One good thing about the new database is that for Karajan's later concerts, it lists whether a radio recording exists. I wonder if it will be possible to hear the recordings direct from the website soon?
