According to the new "Discover Karajan" website, the concert on 25th May 1974 was broadcast on radio. The concert included the Vaughan Williams Tallis Fantasia and Bruckner's 7th Symphony.
Does anyone have a copy of this concert? I would love to hear it (particularly the Vaughan Williams).
After releasing Karajan's studio recordings multiple times in different boxed sets, I wonder if DGG will ever try to release any of his live recordings again? They released some of his live opera recordings some time ago and a few concert recordings but they haven't released any new material for years. A box of Karajan's live Berlin recordings would be very welcome.
By the way, Sony has released Karajan's 1969 Die Walkure from the Met as part of their Birgit Nilsson "The Great Live Recordings" set.
