There are 2 live Karajan performances I know of that have only been released on vinyl. They are:
20.08.61 Bach B minor Mass
31.07.63 R Strauss Der Rosenkavalier
Does anyone have a digital copy of either of these performances?

Lee has also pointed out that the 1961 Bach B Minor Mass is available from Premiere Opera. See www.premiereoperaintl.com/8558-2massinbminorbach.aspx Confusingly, there appear to be 2 Premiere Opera sites. www.premiereoperaintl.com is an American site and www.premiereopera.net is an Italian site. The American site currently has a sale (on 2/9/19). John Hunt's discography does not list product from either site but (as has been mentioned before on this forum) he does not include CDR or download releases in his books. |
