Dear fellow karajanists,
I couldn't find any reliable review about the several Karajan recordings contained in this DG celebrative limited edition box-set:
whose most detailed contents are listed here and here
Does anyone here own this box set? It would be of great help to read some of your considerations about HvK's recordings and their audio quality.
Furthermore, I'm not quite sure that the Gluck's "Orfeo ed Euridice" of 1959 is the only never officially issued before recording from HvK contained here: the content lists available online don't assist me in clarifying this doubt. Could anyone please help to clarify this point, too?
Thanks in advance!

I didn't buy the Salzburg box set as all of the Karajan recordings (including the Gluck) have been released by Deutsche Grammophon before.
I don't know if Deutsche Grammophon have remastered the sound since their original release on separate CDs. The 1968 Schubert 8/Strauss family concert was issued in mono but a stereo tape is known to exist.
The Gluck opera was previously released by DG in 1993, then included as part of the "Karajan - the opera recordings" box set. All the other Karajan performances in the Salzburg box were released separately.
