The 1978 Paris TV concert is well known to Karajan followers. The 1979 radio concert in Paris is less well known, although the Till Eulenspiegel from the concert was released a year or so ago.
I found out today that the St. Laurent CD label has issued the whole concert (or most of it). As well as conducting Till Eulenspiegel, Karajan also conducts the wind and brass sections of the Berlin Philharmonic in Gabrieli, Mozart and Beethoven, and the cellists in Blacher's Rumba philharmoniker.
