In September, Audite are due to release a 3 CD set with recordings of some of the Karajan concerts in Lucerne between 1952 and 1957.
The performances are:
Beethoven 8th Symphony (16th August 1952) Mozart 24th Piano Concerto (16th August 1952, soloist Casadesus) Bach Concerto for 2 keyboard instruments BWV 1061 (10th August 1955, soloists Haskil and Anda) Beethoven 6th Symphony (6th September 1956) Brahms 4th Symphony (6th September 1956) Brahms Violin Concerto (17th August 1957, soloist Milstein) Honegger 3rd Symphony (10th August 1955)
The orchestra in the 1956 concert is the Philharmonia and in the other concerts Karajan conducts the Lucerne/Swiss Festival Orchestra.
The Brahms and Bach concertos have been released before on CD but (as far as I am aware) this is the first release of the other performances.

The recordings are now available as a download from audite.de/en/product/3CD/21464-herbert_von_karajan_the_early_lucerne_years.html . The download also includes an extra recording, of the Bach B Minor Mass in a performance on 2nd September 1951. The Bach performance is currently available as a free download from the website. The CD release appears to have been delayed for a few days, at least in the UK.
