Videos of both the 1988 and 1989 Salzburg Toscas have emerged.
The one that claims to be 1987 is actually the 1989 performance and shows Karajan conducting (not what is happening onstage). The 1988 film is of the stage production.

Following the 1981 Parsifal and these Toscas, I wonder if there are videos of the Salzburg Easter festival operas from 1982 to 1985? (Der Fleigende Hollander, Lohengrin and Carmen)
