It has passed more than a quarter of a century. I happened to come across a special musical performance by Karajan and Berliner Philharmoniker in Japan.
It was held in Fumon-kan at Tokyo. The set list was:
Mozart: Symphony No.39 R.Strauss: Also sprach Zarathustra
Then, there was no anchor.
Yes, it was a very exceptional event for me. I might be too young to understand fully that it was a great one.
The orchestra was perfect. As far as I can remember, it was beyond what a mankind could archive. Especially, I felt that while listening to R.Strauss who was a teacher/adviser of Karajan. Later I could listen to a broadcast recording of the music piece which was performed Aug.27 (very near duration to what I listened to Karajan and BPO) and convinced that my memory was true. It was fantastic, elegant and beautiful. Its form was incredibly strong.
I wish I could experience such an exceptional time again!
